That's What I Love About Sundays
Today couldn't have gone any better.
Went to Epcot to pick up a fast pass for Soarin' then headed to Magic Kingdom. Did Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Erik beat me in the end though :P, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Splash Mountain. Then it was time for lunch...Pecos Bills...yum... I'm kinda mad they changed their desserts though. *whines* they were so good before. oh well. Then it was time to go back to Epcot for Soarin' which I allllwayyyys enjoy, but I'm afraid I may have built it up too much. Then tried to do Test Track, but it was down, indefinately, so we headed out. We almost did Spaceship Earth (where you go inside the "ball") but decided against it. When we got to Animal Kingdom.......torrential downpour. Got a locker for pal Mickey & camera. And then...we were wet...no no no no...not wet...take that back.....soaked TO THE CORE. It was fine being wet and playing in the rain until we left Animal Kingdom. We did Kilomanjaro Safaris which was awwwesome because the animals loooove coming out in the rain, the pengani forest exploration trail, and looked around the Tree of Life a bit. Then we headed out and absolutely froooooze to icicles on the bus ride to Disney's MGM Studios. Then we walked around for a bit, almost went into Who Wants to be a Millionair Play it but decided against it on account of it being too cold and too crowded. We walked around for a bit more and got amused by the streets of america and headed towards Rockin RollerCoaster...that was GREAT fun, got some water to hydrate...for a time perception was prolly around 645 when we left there to go back to Magic Kingdom. froooze yet again on the bus and yes it was still raining. Have to keep checking every once in a while ya know? ;) Did Philhar Magic which is always fun and which Erik seemed to really enjoy. If I remember correctly that was his third favorite of the day. Haunted Mansion, and then headed over towards Big Thunder Mountain. On our way there Erik and I were having a good conversation and I turned to look at him to answer something he'd said and I gasped. loudly. He was like, "what?" framing him there was a beautiful rainbow. A bright rainbow that kept getting brighter and turned into a double rainbow. I was very excited...how perfect!! After Big Thunder we tried to make it to Epcot before the fireworks started but we didn't and they wouldn't let us in. :( Oh well...we were hungry we realized....or I realized we'd had no dinner so we stopped at Taco Bell on the way home. And then it was time to head home. He dropped me off...came in for a bit and then had to headout :( he has an early flight out tomorrow. Hugged and said our goodbyes. There was a point or two, much much laughter, quite a bit of talking, a poor beat up Mickey, and the idea for Erik's personal band following him around describing his life. This made for an excellent day and I just can't beleive it! He said he did, but I hope he had as much fun as me. haha night all!!
